Dr. Doug Brown, one of the original founders of Orthopaedic Associates of Portland, returns for this show that will feature the role of athletic and rehab trainers. We'll also be joined by Matt Cook from Saco Bay Physical Therapy, Angel Soutuyo, the trainer for the Portland Pirates, and Audrey McKenzie, the athletic trainer and academic coach for athletes at Portland High School.

Also joining us will be Sean Crothers and Larry Caruso from Surgi-Care, Incorporated, our new sponsor. Surgi-Care is the leading provider of state-of-the-art orthopedic and rehabilitative products in New England. We'll learn how they partner with orthopedic surgeons like Dr. Brown, and physical therapists and athletic trainers, by providing surgical instruments and orthotics that help patients return to their daily activities and sports faster and with fewer restrictions.

This will be a fascinating peek at what goes on in the operatory, and later in the trainer's room.

Next week, we'll learn about the Sports Done Right Initiative from three schools that are implementing this important initiative to change the way we look at sports.

We invite our listeners to call in and share their views.
