My guests will be Drs. Doug Brown, and Bill Heinz of The Sports Medicine Center -Orthopaedic Associates of Portland; and Cape Elizabeth AD, Keith Weatherbie. Doug, Bill, and Keith have each been guests and co-host of the show several times since the first show on August 27th, 2005. Together with my co-host and technical producer, the insightful and hilarious Ted Talbot (aka the Appliance Man), we'll take a look back on 2005 and discuss the major issues concerning children in sports, children's health, and several educational issues. We'll review and discuss the top 10 ugly stories and the top 10 good stories from across the country. The headlines were not always "bad." There were also several good and inspiring stories. Our goal is to learn from both so that we can "reclaim the timeless value of sport and play" for our children. Each Saturday since August 27th, we've talked with national and local experts about significant happenings and trends that effect our children. We've also talked with a couple dozen incredible students who have impressed and inspired us with their insights on the same issues. The mission of The Center For Kids FIRST in Sports, Health, and Education, the show's producer, is to put the needs and wants of Kids FIRST in sports, education, and health. The Mission of the Kids FIRST Radio Show is to provide a public forum for intelligent discussion and dialogue on issues that enlighten, inform, and educate. The Center For Kids FIRST in Sports, Health, and Education is a 501 c 3, non-profit organization. Neither Kids First nor Regis Tremblay benefit monetarily from the show. Thanks to friends such as Penny Plourde, Paul Buckley, and Drs. Doug Brown and Bill Heinz, this show is brought to you each Saturday. But, we need your help to keep the show on the air. Donations and sponsorships are tax deductible. If you would like to help, or to sponsor the show, please contact Regis Tremblay directly by email or by phone: 602-725-2134. regis@thecenterforkidsfirst.org
